Well I had been waiting for this night for quite some time and it sure was worth the wait! It was The Concert Man’s 1st trip to the acclaimed Jammin Java in Vienna Virginia. As I walked through the door I was met by Jessica’s smiling face 🙂 and was immediately escorted to have my picture taken… Read More

No matter how HOT it may be, nothing can keep THE CONCERT MAN from a GREAT Concert. Native Run @ Night Cat 6/7/12

Have you ever been to a show and the opening band just blew you away? Well it happened to me the first time I saw Native Run perform at the 8×10 in Baltimore as they opened up for Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers. Ever since then I had been waiting for the opportunity to see them perform again. Luckily for me they happened to make a stop at the “Night Cat” in Easton Maryland for an intimate performance. The Night Cat is an awesome and small venue where you can check out musicians that you would normally have to see at a much larger venue. The only downside with the Night Cat is that if you are a photographer that is trying to capture these intimate performances prepare to see nothing but RED. It’s a Photographers Hell due to the red lighting in that room. That room has become my biggest challenge but one thing I love is a challenge.

So enough about my battle with the Red Room from Hell. Lets move on to the performance by the up and coming, Nashville bound “Native Run”. First off it was vocalist Rachel Beauregard’s birthday and she wore her birthday suite….well I should say her Birthday dress topped of with a pair of birthday glasses and a banner draped across her saying Happy Birthday. I dare not ask how old she was. This Southern Belle always dresses to impress. Maybe there is a little fashion competition going on between her and the 4th member of the band, Mandolin player Bryan Dawley’s hair. Hahaha. Right from the first song you could tell that they were there to perform just as if they were performing at a 900 person capacity venue. The sweet acoustic sound of Native Run is one that will put a smile on your face, brighten up your soul and leave you wishing that you knew where to find a jar of moonshine.
